About
Dr. Eric Berg, DC, The Knowledge Doc, founded the Berg Institute of Health & Wellness in Seminole, Florida, in 1997, where he currently serves as CEO. The mission of the Institute is to educate the public about proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of a balanced diet in maintaining good health.
Dr. Berg encourages people to be proactive about their health and wellness by giving them the knowledge and tools they need to successfully implement a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting to lose weight.
Dr. Berg began his scientific research in nutrition after graduating from chiropractic college in 1988. He was so interested because he wanted to determine how food affected his health. His drive came from a need for knowledge about food's role in his health problems.
Today, Dr. Eric educates his students on various medical subjects. He is an expert at breaking down complicated health issues, identifying their underlying causes, and developing nutritional plans for recovery. His long-term eating plan, which combines the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting, has become widely recognized as a game-changer for achieving exceptional health.
After experiencing a dramatic improvement in his health thanks to the knowledge he gained from studying the science of nutrition, Dr. Berg decided to devote his time to practicing chiropractic and sharing his findings with other doctors, eventually becoming an associate professor at Howard University.
The 7 Principles of Fat Burning, his book from 2006, has been revised and updated as The Healthy Keto Plan, a #1 Amazon best seller as of 2019.
With more than 6,000 videos, 18 million subscribers, and 100 million views per month later, he continues to share his thoughts on healthy eating and a wide range of other health topics on his YouTube channel, which he launched in 2008. In addition, he developed a course for training Keto Coaches worldwide in which he delved into the concepts of keto and intermittent fasting. Ultimately, Dr. Berg wants patients to take charge of their health.
Since 1997, Dr. Eric Berg has been the CEO of the Berg Institute of Health & Wellness in Seminole, Florida, after working as a chiropractor in private practice in San Diego, Shreveport, and Alexandria.

The National-Lincoln School of Postgraduate Education, the Southern California College of Chiropractic, the International Scoliosis Research Center, the Louisiana Union of Chiropractors' Risk Management Committee, and the LUCP's Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries Committee all contributed to his extensive postgraduate and specialty education.
Dr. Eric is a board-certified chiropractor in three states thanks to his accomplishments on the National Board of Chiropractic Examination (Parts I, II, and III), the Certificate of Proficiency in Chiropractic X-ray, and his certifications in microscopy, live blood cell analysis, and diagnostic interpretation of neuro-selective current perception threshold.

Numerous well-known experts on ketogenic diets and metabolic wellness were featured speakers at these events.

At 32 years old, his renewed vitality and ability to keep up with his wife Karen's hectic schedule and three active children resulted from his newly acquired nutrition knowledge.
Eric now values his spare time more than he ever has before. Dr. Eric Berg finds solace in crafting instruments by hand and collaborating with Karen to develop tasty, nutritious dishes. He has recently moved to a picturesque farm, where he is conducting soil research to develop methods for producing food and livestock that are both high in nutrients. Karen acknowledges that the origin of everything in the kitchen is the ground.
